I think the best people to ask would be Dennis Fisher or Reg Robinson their E-mail addresses are floating about somewhere.

I have always wondered what ever happened to John Tregarthen ,he left when we were at Wolfenbuttel , and the little stinker borrowed some photos of our skiing course in the Hartz mountains and never returned them . So if anyone knows him let him know I am looking for him . When he left he said he was going to set up some Shark fishing enterprise in 'Cornish land', most likely the sharks ate him.

These photos must be 1958 as I can remember most of them Jock Bradley was the name I could not remember that was looking out of the train, the one standing by the truck looks like Darkie Rawson , ref the 3 troop photo the one on the left sitting down looks like Cuddly Dudley . Seeing the Brain again brings back some memories, those were the days.

I did notice that one vehicle had old 4th Tanks Chinese eyes on the side of the turret, also on the withdrawal from Basra the piper was a Tankie, I noticed that even without my glasses.

It was 12 troop that taught Keith Floyd how to cook , some of us will say he has not moved on very far, also it might have been our bad influence that turned him to the falling down water

The best one we had in A Sqn , was the two Paddy Turner bros. the youngest one was in the turret fiddling about as one does , and pressed the ejector button for the trailer, not having the snatch chains on,gallons of Benz ended up on the hanger floor ,all in the sh-one -t again. I sometimes wonder what happened to them.

What I find annoying is all of the young sons on this site and they have not blackmailed their dads to join , a bit sad really. There are loads of lads out there , at one time we had six lads from Newark in A sqn let alone all of the Scouses in the Regt and a few foreign ones from north of the Wall. Lets see if we can find some of them. Ref Mowgli I have a small photo taken with his sister when we were in F---ing--b as soon as I scan it in I will get it posted. Regards to all Tex

You forgot about the Mutton Jock (try eating it cold) , ham & egg and tinned bacon. The best thing about Cents was sleeping on the back decks in winter and putting the compo cans under the back decks better than a microwave. It was that type of cooking that started our illustrious troop leader Keith Floyd , on his road to stardom .

Ref the photos of the "Quarter Guard" for the C.I.G.S. they where taken by the Regt photographer Tom Maxwell I believe, Billy wiz is right about the names sofar Brummie Northwood ,Ginge Fretwell ,Willie Morell ,it looks like Ty Harding next to Brummie the one next to me I cant remember his name now but I think he was in the Corp of Drums ,going on to the photos of me , Rip, Bill & Ken that was taken with my camera I have a couple more photos taken at the same time next to a motor bike ,at that time A Sqn were staying in C Sqn block while a refurbish was taking place. I have several more photos which I am about to send to Pecker for posting . Happy New Year to all our readers I will be in touch.
