Can anyone help it would be much appreciated!!!!
I know that during the build up to Suez whilst the Sixth were in Malta they built a small gallery range at Ta Qali airfield for the crews to practice their engagement techniques using a .22 kit to simulate main armament firing.
My question is where was it mounted, was it placed into the COAX as it follows the main armament? Was it strapped to the main gun much like Ron Aquilina’s gunnery simulator or attached to the tank in some other method?

He then mentioned that they used to take all the bins off their Cents and do 1v1 battle runs firing the Besas on single shot, closed down obviously and by the fcuk you didn't half know when you'd been hit..............CLLLLLLAAAAANNNNGGGG!!!

It was mounted in a cradle on the top of the turret so that all of the crew members that were training on it could get the realistic effect like live fireing except the loud noise and of course the recoil, I believe it was the same cradle as was used on chieftains with a mod to make it fit and work correctly

Cheers Rtando I knew about Chieftains but wondered if it was the same with cents. Do you know how it would elevate and depress with the main armament?
