Another Big Andy Wilson story, I was detailed to take a prisoner as escort to Bielefield in a 30 cwt truck from the cells in the Guard Room, Big Andy informed me that if I was to loose the prisoner not to bother coming back but just take his place! I aged 10 yrs on that trip but made it ok. The word for FEAR was Big Andy!!!

I remember Andy very well. In '58 he was our heavyweight boxer and came the great day when he met his match in the inter regimental. The biggest cheer that went up in Detmold was heard by all the other regiments stationed there when he was knocked out in the first round.
Jock Kerr crossed posted with me and Barry Routledge to the 2nd in Libya just before the amalgamation parade in '59.
