Hello to anyone that might remember me 8 of us joined from JLR Jan 81 the whole sqn was on Christmas leave, four went to c Sqn, me (tony Cole) Skin Gilbert, Sprout Collis, & a guy Called Doc the only thing i remember about him was he had tiny feet. I went to 1 troop as lefties gunner & i was the one that put the 353 on local, not Woody before the road run and Jonah had to sort it out & yes lefty did correct my mistake afterwords had a thick lip for days , Skin went to 4 troop, and Sprout went to 2 or 3 troop. Jeff Hayman, & ken Jacques went to C Sqn, cant remember the other two names. Attachments:

Welcome Chips it wasn't until I looked at your photo until I realised who you were. Cant remember but did you leave just before moving back to the UK or whilst we were in Hemer?

I made the mistake of grinning at 'Lefty' after I'd switched the set to Remote from Local and he grabbed me by the throat and told me not to tell anyone! BTW the other two lads that came to the 3rd from JLR with you were AF Lane and MK Robinson!!!

Cant remember but did you leave just before moving back to the UK or whilst we were in Hemer? moved back to Hamer jack lemons driver quite funny really cause we only had 2 challengers then 0B & 0C the rest of the sqn were still on chieftains, they did struggle to keep up, then went to 4 troop Chris jermaine's op Paul Cadec was Tp Sgt, we were the first crew to crash a challenger on FTX Dicky Bird driving into the side of Dick Taylor's tank ripping all the plates off the left hand side. My then wife demanded we leave or she was coming back to England with the kids so i transferred to M T so I would be able to do something when i left cause as you now know theres not a lot of call for tank crews in civvy street. Here endeth the lesson.
