Thanks for inviting me to join the site. A bit about myself by way of introduction. I served with the RCT from 1978 to 1993 - my inrerest in the First Tank Crews started about six years ago when I found out that the drivers of the first tanks were Army Service Corps men. I have been trying to find out more about them ever since - with little success. I have however been more successful about the remainder of the crews - I hope to be able to publish their history before the 100th anniversary of their first action and would welcome any advice, guidance or corrections. Hi George Very close to Andover - just south of the A303, off the Salisbury road, about half a mile outside the town boundary.
Despite trying to get out with the rest of the Corps, my Gulf War 1 tour was down the hole at High Wycombe!
