. You may not: Swear openly Refer to or about anyone either serving or an ex serving member of this site in a defamatory manner using easily recognisable names or nicknames. (There is the Squadron Bar board for people to vent their spleens in and even then Pecker would not be happy that you did).

Well, it would appear I'm the MOD on this board ..............no not the Ministry Of Defence.................The Moderator!! That means, I guess, that I'm in control of the net. To those of you that are Newbies to FearNaughtIII irregardless of whether you served with the Third of Track or any other unit..... a most heartfelt welcome. ;D The purpose of this board is for you to: Come on in, Sit on down, Announce who you are and what you did....when, Ask questions about the site or request help in it's use.Don't be scared or nervous, it can be quite daunting to just chat, in writing, on your computer. The common question you'll ask yourselves......"Will anyone read what I'm writing?" The answer.....................Oh yes, someone will!! But, the good thing is that we are all friends on this site so no-one will give you a hard time. As I said, I'm the moderator in this Introductions board and I have to 'enforce' a code of conduct. Pecker our erstwhile creator of this site has put together an extensive list of do's and dont's but, this is my condensed version as far as I'm concerned. You may not: Swear openly Refer to or about anyone either serving or an ex serving member of this site in a defamatory manner using easily recognisable names or nicknames. (There is the Squadron Bar board for people to vent their spleens in and even then Pecker would not be happy that you did).
So, come on in and, 'play nice' I'll let you know if you're not!!! Once you've introduced yourself, if you need help in any way or shape whether it be do's/don'ts, how to spell, how to put a picture on a board/thread or even which board/thread would apply to you......any help you need.......just send me a PM (Private Message) and I'll do my very best to help you.

L-R is (just in case you don't remember all of them) Steve Lewis, Bob Jacobs, Nige Butler, You and Kev Bradley. I take it this was 76/77?? I remember doing CivPop at Lydd..........fcuk those 'KillyMurphy bricks' could hurt!!! Have you not put this pic up on Arrse yet? ?? No mate to be honest I cant seem to navigate that site, seems to be one big mish-mash of posts with no pattern, Nige? I thought they called Pete Beighton? Incidently, 3RTR seems to have vanished off the bottom of the forums list?!? Definately Nige Butler. he was actually C Sqn along with his brother 'Snake' Butler who, was as mad as a ship's cat!!! I got to Fally summer 76, C Sqn had not long been back from Dungannon themselves IIRC. On moving to Tidders the usual call for volunteers was put out, I volunteered as I'd done some NI training at JLR as guys from 13/18th were going straight to NI............at 17 yrs old mind!!!!! Didn't get called for. Nige, IIRC, volunteered along with Pete Shelldrake and a couple others. Yer other photo...............are you sure that's Les Lynch RIP? ?? Arrse You are registered aren't you? Did S54 give you the access to 3RTR 'under the camnet'? As, well, we're still there!!!!!!

Fantastic time, thanks to the organisers and thanks to those who crossed my sweaty palm with silver for books, mugs, shirts and artwork. Plymouth is testament to how big and good a Branch can be!! Some photos of the night L - R Dave Taylor, Moi and James Henry 'Bert' Hammond. Plus Brian 'Scouse' Lindores, We C Squadron types stick together you know!! Just trying to make sure Bert got in the picture!! 'Sensible' (After cider) Dave and his 3A!! Graham Pearson, Bert and his 3A and moi Graham and Steve Lewis A gaggle of Googles Sadly I was too busy to take any more, I also didn't get apic of my presenting the original of 'Lull before the storm' to RHQ RTR, So, if anyone's got one I'd be grateful. There's a good full report on the Plymouth Branch page of Will's Greenflash site.

Okay guys and gals Here's the fleece!! Front Back The fleece is 100% 300gsm Polyester but feels like the comfort of wool. This Fleece offers better wear with sewn in shoulder and elbow reinforcement with a slightly 'chunkier' fleece appearance. I thought the pen holder on the left arm was pretty natty too!! These are the size options: S - 36/38". M - 40/42". L - 44/46". XL - 48/50". 2XL - 52/54". 3XL - 56/58". 4XL - 60". 5XL - 62"I've been to the Post Offce and sorted pricing as follows - The Price per fleece = £37.00 + £2.50 (1st Class) P&P UK and BFPO = £39.50 all in. £37.00 + £5.00 P&P Civilian Europe (Hunland/Belgium) = £42.00 all in. I can now accept orders at malcycee@yahoo.co.uk (DO NOT PM ME AN ORDER ON HERE) but, be aware ALL orders for this first batch MUST be with me by 10th December at THE LATEST and I'll try to get the items out for Xmas although, given the Xmas rush there are no promises. These fleeces have to be run 6 at a time as each item takes about an hour and a half to embroider so my supplier will only run 6 at a time, therefore, given the cost involved, I will be unable to hold stock. Unfortunately payment will have to be in advance at time of order as I'm not that rich!!

Here's the latest of my work, this one is not a £60 job, took ages and a gallery has valued it at around £200!!! Given the subject matter I think it's quite good. Incidently. The OOOOOHHHHAAARRRR Cartoon raised £120 at the Bristol reunion into TC's fund.

hi malc, what sizes will be available for the fleece and what make will they be,tanky. Hi Bri mate The fleece manufacturer is RT Workwear and the fleece is 100% 300gsm HD Polyester but feels like the comfort of wool. I chose this fleece as the cheaper Regatta one was not as good a quality to be frank. This one offers better wear with sewn in elbow reinforcement with a slightly 'chunkier' fleece appearance. I thought the pen holder on the left arm was pretty natty too!! The microfleece options are very smooth textile but thin, the claims of being as warm as heavier materials didn't frankly convince me. Now, the samples will be made of this fleece but, I'll have a better idea if that's the right choice once people have touched it next week. These are the size options: S - 36/38" M - 40/42" L - 44/46" XL - 48/50" 2XL - 52/54" 3XL - 56/58" 4XL - 60" 5XL - 62" I will want people to 'pay up front' at time of order as the supplier has agreed to supply me fleeces as required by people. I will not be holding a stock of these, only what's ordered. However, let me finalise details of fleece and price mate then I'll start accepting orders.

Hi there you bunch of roistering, doistering Tankies, Artwork update - I've been to the printers this morning. Far from trying to rip me off, they've told me to hold off on TShirt design manufacture. This is because I currently have the 'Kicking Butt' design at both 1 and 2 RTR for approval. IF they come up with a bulk order, I can get a bulk discount by submitting all my designs at once including the Recy Mech design. I want this cos it will bring the price down for manufacture and...............more importantly YOU guys. To be warned all those of you going to Plymouth next weekend...........bring cash and chequebooks as I will be bringing the following gear (on top of 3RDHQBAB's auction picture which, if Lucy can remember to get and take it from Monklet's car), will be up for grabs....... A couple framed prints of 'Goodbye to the green on black'. 1 framed original piece of my work The Armoured Farmer mugs The Armoured Farmer T Shirts 10 copies of my book (signed) Also, I am pleased to announce that I will have a sample of The Armoured Farmers Fleece on display. The fleece will be available by order and design as follows: Top quality Black fleece with reinforced elbows and pen pocket on left sleeve Front LH Chest embroidery - 'The Third Royal Tank Regiment' 1916 - 1992 Gone but not forgotten. Back - Embroidered - Armoured Farmer T Shirt design - Badge design in silver thread and Text in Brunswick Green thread. Now, I don't have a price yet as it's dependant on numbers ordered but, a guideline would be about the £30.00p mark. If I get no orders (a photo will be posted on here) then I've got the one and only I guess!! Thanks guys.

Stallys?? Crikey, it costs a bomb to produce one shirt. Sadly, to produce a shirt I need to produce at least 100 and I'm not sure that I would achieve the sales. I'm still sat on a bundle of Armoured Farmer shirts not yet sold. I'm sure they will go but, for a man sat with no job the finances are very dodgy. But, It could be done without too much agro but, let's test it...........how many would want a Stally design shirt? Step forward and be counted.

Thought I may as well continue this thread as I get a holiday occasionally. Fcuk.................back in the UK!!!! Depression looming like a big looming thing!!!!!! Mexico...................what a place..............a place of massive contradictions the 'haves' and the 'have not's'......bit like the UK but not even 'Swilly' had mudhuts!! Beautiful country and beautiful people albeit they're no bigger than Hobbits. Here are some pics of Arthur's Mexican adventure. Firstly The shirt pictures 1. A3B At Tulum an ancient Mayan city. 3A's focussing ability in question!!! 2. At Xel-Ha where 'Blue Lagoon' was filmed. 3. Pina Colada time!! 4. 3A and I getting some interaction with Spider Monkeys which, in my case involved being sat then shat on and finally a bite to the left forearm................by the Monkeys not 3A!!!! 5. Posing at a Cenote, an underground freshwater spring with water some 150 feet deep. 6. More culture, at Chicken Pizza or Chichen Itza as the Ancient Mayans called their city......the pyramid was fcukin huge, the photo doesn't do it justice but, makes my gut look huge!!!! Talking of huge................at 'Senor Frogs' in Playa Del Carmen, I found a way of making 2 out of my three arrrrrses!!! I also found a unique way of getting Vodski shots............fairly attractive bird turns up......applies shot.......pinches yer nipples till you scream ensuring shot is swallowed!!! Lastly, what a pose.......................Mexican Marines...................not (apparently) as corrupt as the Municipales or Federales police forces.as they patrolled through our beach.........................didn't smile once the unsociable ttttwwwwwwaaaaaattttttttttttsssssss!!!! Anyway, I'm back!!!!!!

Having now learnt a few things about T Shirt design I've come up with a change to the above Tankie design. So, without further ado. Right then I've been back to the drawing board and, re done a shirt for the Tankies....the one above will become available at some stage but, well, I like this one better. Available in Silver on Black, Brown on sand or Black on olive green. Sizes - Medium, L, XL, 2XL. Cost = £16 PER SHIRT including P+P (I've managed to save £0.50p on P&P)(£14.50 to BFPO Middle East where postage is free I believe?) If I can sell over 100 shirts I will donate £1 per shirt sold to 'Help for Heroes'. Now, if anyone wants one of these shirts they need to send me a personal email (not PM on this site) to malcycee@yahoo.co.uk stating RTR Shirt, size colour etc and I will get back to you with payment details etc.

Ladies and Gents Just to let you know, at risk to life and limb (if you lived in Runcorn you'd know what I mean) all those from who I received payment which is most people, I've sent the T Shirts out today 1st Class so they should be with you tomorrow I think? Those who've not yet sent payment, please do, I can't ship without it as last time I did I lost £45.00 hopefully through forgetfullness as It was one of our number but, I'm afraid I can't take that chance again. Hope you all understand. Thanks.

Hi guys Just to let you know, I will be able to get SOME shirts to the Bristol reunion and Stan Janner has kindly volunteered to sell them for me on Saturday PM ONLY. I will drop the shirts off with him next week sometime as I can't get there personally on the weekend. Those of you who have ordered/paid for your shirts will receive them in the post next week before the reunion as I pick up the first completed batch tomorrow. IF someone wants to resrve a couple of shirts for the reunion that's fine but, you must be able to guarantee collecting/paying Saturday PM before 17:00 just let me know your details. Sadly the mugs won't be ready before the reunion but, I'll keep you all posted as to their availability. Ta mates.
