I have had to delete the link to The Newcastle Branch RTR web site. At the December monthly meeting the Chairman Mr.Vince Rogers and the Secretary Mr. Peter Payne announced that they were resigning from the branch. The then chairman said he had already taken the branch web site down. So under the circumstances I have to remove the link. I will be posting a full report on the goings on in the near future. Geordie Young. (acting secretary) More info as and when i get it !!!!! geordieyoung all yours mate

I am searching for a copy of a film made 1959 of 3RTR at Detmold. I know that it was made by a officer who at the time of making the film was in charge of the Army Sailing school at Kiel. I also know that it was released by The Rank Org. in a series called "LOOK AT LIFE." with the title "The British Army." I have seen this film so it does exist. Can anybody help with any info. Newcastle Branch wants it to add to our small, (at the moment,) collection of films. which we show at our monthly meetings. Tanks in anticipation. Geordie.

pecker. No hurry at all. It's just that our Branch got a lottery grant and bought a new computer and projector with screen. The grant also payed for the branch trip to London last year. Our secretary has made a couple of DVDs about the members so I thought I would look for this film again. You have a enough to do looking after your site. I thought I would just put it up and see what came of it . Of course i am in the film. No, no hurry at all. I did try and find this film awhile back and found nothing. A old mate/3RTR tankie had a letter in the the British Legion Mag also looking for the film. This was about 2 years ago his name was Norris ( I think ) but I have lost the mag. there is no hurry at all.
