Hi, 2687 Cfn Drozd LAD REME here. Trying unsuccessfully to join up again! Served in Fally and Gough Barracks Armagh between 72 and 75. Sorry I didn't last long but I had a difference of opinion with the acting C.O. when you guys went to Canada! Still waiting for Admin Approval. It's a bit like waiting for the CSM to wake me with a cuppa in the morning!

Hi again. Is anybody there? I am burning to fill in a few details about various items posted, mainly by vmecha, on the REME page, regarding Taffs accident in Armagh, the Denmark sailing trip, and also I can spill the beans on such as how all the cigarettes from the Bar in Gough Barracks had holes in them and what really happened concerning the accident Taff was on his way to when he broke his back and the consequences thereof. Approve me or I may reveal details of which Tankie was shagging which WRAC in which Sanger!!!

Phew! in at last. I would like to make an official disclaimer. The Tankie who I caught with a WRAC in a Sangar in Gough Barracks in 1975, while I was on Guard Duty, and whom I mentioned in my recent threat is not necessarily the Member with a similar Appellation who answered my post!! Thanks for the response Tanky. Sounds like you were there, though you didn't mention the one component necessary to spear the fags through the Bar grille. Darts supplied by HMF were indispensable!

Hi All.. My name is John.. I am from Liverpool, I served with the 5th RTR from 1959 till 1968, I was in Fallingbostel from Nov 69 till I think Jan 65. Then went to Tidworth, then to BORNEO in 66. After that we went to Wolfenbuttel till I was Demobbed in July 69. In Civvy Street I became a Bus/Coach Dvr for 35yrs with the Liverpool corpy till I retired 2 yrs ago. Hi all, Gibbo here, ex 17 troop, 1977-1980. Last time I seen any of the lads from the Reg was in Marstal, (on a small Island called Aero in Denmark) PE4rocks and a few of the lads from the 3rd, were playing silly buggers with BKYC. They had set someone adrift on a buoy on their way up before descending on the Danish Islands to get legless on the carlsberg and Tuborg. Attachments:

Hi. My name is Tim. I am a modeller building 1:35 scale armour models, specializing in UK and CW in North Africa. My preference is for early war vehicles (prior to El Alamein). Obviously, I hope to get some help on this web site I am very pleased that there is a web site for the RTR - as you will all be aware, they saw a lot of service in North Africa. My only connection to the military is that I did National Service (I am from South Africa) as a PBI.

Read Andy Drozd comments on me in the REME thread.
I remember turning him upside down and A Sqn,s SSM not liking me, did 28 days with Phil G in 3RTR Dungeon in Fally.
served in Bovington 1980 - 84 and played rugby with some old friends from 3RTR.
I finished 40 years of Army service here in New Zealand reaching WO1 and now working for the NZ Army has an unwashed civvy.
