10 members present for the meeting. A low figure even for February. Four of our older members who come together in one car were absent due to a mix up in dates. So it should have been 14, that makes it sound better. I suppose.
Minutes of the November 2018 meeting were passed.
A vote of thanks was proposed to Dave Roberts and Mick Everton, the organisers of the recent Ladies lunch, the best attended and the most enjoyable one ever. Carried.
The Secretary gave details of the upcoming 100th anniversary commemeration in Bournemouth of a Tank Corps soldier.
Information regarding the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown Park on Friday 8th March 2019 was available
The RTRA church service at Bovington is on 17th March 2019. The secretary confirmed that a seperate letter regarding this would be sent to all branch members.
Details of RAC 80 at Bovington were given.
Members were informed that HHQ has a supply of tickets for the Army V Navy game on 4th May 2019
Names were taken for those wishing to bid for tickets to the Founders day parade at RH Chelsea.
HHQ has asked us to let people know that the My Donate website is closing down.
The Secretary suggested that on Remembrance Sunday we should start to lay a wreath at the Bournemouth war memorial, this in addtion to, not in replacement of the wreath laying in Poole.
Information regarding the proposed Plymouth Branch coach trip to London for the RTR cenotaph parade was avialable for members
Dates and timings regarding the RTR march to the cenotaph in November were made available.
It was confirmed that the guest speaker for the March 2019 branch meeting is Capt (retd) Dean Hutton, the new Regimental Secretary.
