16 people were present for the June 2018 branch meeting. Members were briefed on the wreath laying for Pte Harry Ward on 26th May 2018. The branch was also informed of the success of the branch participation at the Weymouth US memorial service. Details of the RTR Families day were given, plus details of the annual Civic Service and parade in Poole on 10th June. Information packs were given to those attending the Weymouth Armed Forces Day Parade on 24th June. Members were given details of the Dorchester Armed Forces day event on 7th July. The branch was given details of the "strictly poppies" event at Haywards Heath on 15th July. Advance notice of the RAFA Battle of Britain service at Poole on 9th September was given. When remembering the 100th anniversary of the death of Pte Harry Ward in Poole Cemetery, we noticed that amongst this group of graves was one belonging to a lone Canadian soldier who died on 4th November 1918. So on 4th November 2018 he will be getting the full "Harry".
