16 members were present for the October meeting
The branch chairman presented 93 year old Maurice Bourne MM with his branch certificate commemorating his many years of support to the branch. Maurice is now very frail, deaf and almost blind, so we were very pleased that he could attend and allow us the pleasure of congratulating him. Ken Holland was given a vote of thanks for creating the certificates.
Members were reminded of the parade in Poole park on Remembrance Sunday. They were also reminded about the RTR march to the Cenotaph on Sunday 17th November. Application forms for the Bovington, Cambrai Lunch on Friday 15th November were available to branch members. It was agreed that the ladies lunch will be held on Sunday 19th January 2014. The "Not Forgotten Association" annual report booklet was available to view.
The members were informed that an article from the branch has been submitted for publication in the Winter 2013 edition of the Tank Mag. The treasurer gave an update on our financial health and it seems we are holding our own. It was agreed to donate £25 to the Army Benevolent Fund at the November meeting as our guest speaker next month is from that charity and will be travelling all the way from Exeter to address the branch.
No speaker this month, so with no further business to discuss the Chairman closed the meeting.
