Hello Andy. I'm geordieyoung on here, and I have a picture of 3RTR 1960 Hobart Barracks Germany posted on this site. I left in Sep 1960 so he might have joined after I left.I can't recall your dad or the name Peter Jones at all there were a lot of Jones in the Regiment. Try an old pal of mine Tex Collins on here he might be able to help you. By the way my photo on here is the full regiment except lads that were on duty or had not been to the cookhouse that day. If you want a copy of the photo just ask. All the best with your search. Geordie.

cheers bud I have had a look but I think he may of changed a little bit since then I do have a pic of him wich I will post once down loaded I have spoke to him about this site and told him a few name off it and he does recognise them I know he was the rqms in 1961 but he doesn't speak about his army day much wich is a real shame as I love all the military stuff and had good memories of various camps while dad was in the army

Hi Andy. I was with the 3rd from July 66 to September 68, didn't know your dad but do know that the regiment left Fallingbostel in January 68 for Tidworth.
Hope that helps.

hi guys thanks nd yes he was wo2 back in the day fallinbostal is wher my brother was born I was born in 61 in rhietel (probably spelt wrong)and bits are starting to fit his name was peter ( but was also know as david ) or being a rsm several other names lol because of my job I go to the tidworth barracks quite a lot its changed just a tad from the good old day and if you talk to the tankies down there they are not happy that's its all been amaimated into one reg now as they say you have now lost the inter reg banter ect.
