Tex,can I pester you with a few questions?what vehicles were you equipped with and for what role?Armd recce or MBT?also pre Tidworth where was the Bn based?My dad's letters from the time show that his morale was in his boots after being sent to Tidworth,he drips about getting pinged for stag and wanting to leave but still did another 4 years..

My Mums number was W/423529,intake nov '64,served JHQ(where she met Dad) 65 to 68,before leaving to get married.I have posted a Flickr Album on the JHQ Rheindahlen FB group of photos and memorobilia if your wife had served there as well.Thanks for your reply!

My old man died in 2015 and I've been looking into his time in 3 RTR.I think he was possibly in fally in the late 60s,definitely lived on the patch in the early 70s in Tidworth,Montgomery House.His wife was my mam Jean,ex wrac he met in JHQ Rheindahlen.Any reminences would be greatly appreciated.
