Thanks for putting me right on the pic alf,After further perusal and knocking me ed on the keyboard a few times i could see them.Of course i recognised the 2 dodgy old guys on the bench as prince pecker of all mans land and and George the pauper, said to have had on many occasions attended Padres hour with Friar Tuck,"Stalwarts" both.

Good pic Alf, Yes mate its a typical smoker and never made no difference,It didnt matter how many of the mob were there,I think the biggest i did was in Baveria at the end of one of the eternal triangle exercises 40 or 50 bodies of different nationalities,we were swapping uniforms and compo etc.at the end of the night as always, there was only Tankies still standing-ish,sticking to the unspoken rule, That we made sure our guests had been well looked after sent back to there bivvy well watered and well fed. That gave us the chance to drink all the booze that they left behind ha ha.Happy days. Going back to the pic sadly some have left us for the green fields i am not sure about the guy between dick tippet RIP and red fred RIP (sorry Barry i never could spell your surname) is that Andy Kemp and then Ted page, not sure about the lad to the right of ted.Civvies cant work out what were about,But hey that didnt Matter any way,We were what we were.FearNaught.

What you said in your rant Alfredo was right on the button,The good times out weighed the not so go good,Having said that when i sit and think about the bad times they twernt that bad beay (must be bit of werzel in I then) piss wet through hacking some forest to burn, getting the smoker going racking out the booze, not forgetting how good we all thought we were good at singing, the shit jokes what we laughed at,G10 rum blew the fecking hair out off me nose,The camerade second to none any where else in the world.Replen in the ice and snow throwing full jerrys 4 at a time fingers bruised and bleeding (now bent and twisted with arthritis) No old mate,No bad times they were good times and better times, just didnt realise it at the time.Tight tracks mate.
