2nd Royal Tank Regiment- 51st Annual Reunion 2007

This year the 2nd Royal Tank Regiments Reunion will be held on Saturday 17th November 07 1900hrs-2300hrs



THE LONDON SCOTTISH
THE T.A.CENTRE,
95 HORSEFERRY ROAD LONDON SW1P EDX.

ACCESS:- 0.3 Miles from St James Park. Underground. 0.5 miles from Victoria Station. Parking OK all day.

The reunion is open to all past and present members of 2 RTR Every one is encouraged to attend, it is hoped that we will at lest equal last years excellent turn out. A finger buffet will be provided by the Regiment. Confirmation of your availability to attend would be appreciated. Purely for catering reasons.

Raffle prizes welcome. £1 entry fee to help cover cost.

Mate I won't! Can I just say I don't think that the Regiment will be dipping it's hand in it's pocket and forking out for the buffet! And IMHO nor should it.

Reunion:- My info is they are taking over the catering to cut cost. We will just have to wait and see what they come up with.

Cost..................... It's being held in a TA Centre isn't it? ISTR a decision was made last year not to give anymore financial help and to my knowledge nothing was ever splashed out for the 3RTR reunion!

What has 3RTR reunion got to do with us. Hiring halls with all the health and safety required cost money, whether it's a TA Center or your local town hall. Sending out a mail shot of 700 letters cost money. R U volunteering to do it next year for nothing?

No not at all, if you want a reunion you've got to be prepared to put your hands in your pocket and don't expect the regiment to stump up the for the cost which they used to! Especially after the reunion in 2003 where the CO did a presentation on what the Regiment achieved on Op TELIC and had to stop cos' nobody was bothering to listen...............rant over! I'll be going to the other 2RTR reunion in the 'Punch & Judy' in Covent Garden.

Not much detail it seems that a lot of lads (mostly from post amalgamation) congregate in the said 'Watering Hole' for a few sherbets!
