Minutes of the 2007 August meeting of the Royal Tank Regiment Association
London Branch held at the Barley Mow Horseferry Road SW1.
Meeting convened at 1607hrs
There were present:- The Vice Chairman Mr.John Rickson, Secretary
Mr.Barry Wicks, The Welfare officer Mr.David Frances, Plus 33 members
signed in, Appoliges received from 10 members.
The exhortation and silent tribute was conducted by John Rickson and
observed by all present.
He also offered a toast to "He Majesty The Queen". "The Regiment". and
Absent friends. This was also observed by all present.
In the absence of the Chairman due to work commitments the Vice Chairman
took the Chair.
He welcomed every one to the meeting and introduced Paul Reynolds, Bob
Branton and Peter Burton to the members present.
The minutes of the July meeting had been emailed to those with that
facility and copies distributed at the meeting. The Secretary asked the
Chairman if he could take the minutes as read. Agreed by all present.

There were no points arising.
Chairman's Report
John thanked everyone for for the cards, best wishes and the excellent
bouguet sent by the association to mark their 50th wedding anniversary.
Secretaries report
All correspondence received would be available to view after the meeting.
The Chairman had asked the Secretary to inform the meeting that there
were only 16 seats available for the Cambrai trip and to start recording
the names of those who would be attending the Cambrai lunch at the
Barley Mow on the 10th November after the Planting of the Cross at Westminster Abbey

Welfare report
David was stuck in traffic, the Secretary on his behalf reported that they had attended the funeral of Mrs Betty Walker at Leatherhead and had than proceeded to Headly Court to pay a visit to Derek McDonald and Steven Shine. Derek was away on leave in Scotland but some time had been spent with Steven who was in good spirits.

Bruce and George were in Gent in Belgium, they had attended Aldershot and the War and Peace show at the Hop Farm, both had been very rewarding and
a more detailed report would be available at the next meeting News letter editor & service records.
Beryl was entertaining family from America so no report at this meeting.

Secretary who had already introduced Paul Reynolds he informed the members
present that he had constructed a web page and a info board added for the London Branch of the Association, www.fearnaught3.proboards81.com further information from Paul after the meeting.
The business of the meeting complete the Chairman closed the meeting the
time being 16-47hrs
