Hi, I'm a newbie here. Brand new in fact. Just registered 10 minutes ago after seeing a picture of myself on your page. I had been surfing 6RTR and 3RTR pages when your page came up and I immediately recognised the first picture as that of Patrick "Scouse" Scully. If my memory serves me right he drove the squadron halftrack. B Squadron that is. Scrolling down I came to the picture of Barry? Well, that's me, Barry Cheswick. I was with the 6th from November '58 to August '59 and then went off to Germany for the amalgamation with the 3rd. Scrolling down to the next to last picture you have Ernie "Haggis" West, he drove the O/C's Ferret scout car, and Scouse Scully but I'm afraid I can't put a name to the other bloke even though it's a familiar face. I'll hunt out a few photos for you and send them on. In the meantime, best regards and take care of yourself. Barry.

Morning Pete, Thanks for your email and my apologies for not replying earlier. I was wondering if you could tell how I could get to know who posted those photos. It had to be someone who knew me and Ernie West as well as Scouse Scully. As you know I posted my response but as yet I haven't heard from anybody. You're right Pete, they were happy days and the older I get the more I reminisce about them. I was in 4 Troop as the Troop leader's operator. Some of my pals included Jeff Coombes, John Franklin and Dinger Reynolds. I was demobbed in June 1960 and I can tell you as I sat on that bus waiting to go to Bielefeld I would have signed on the dotted line if I'd been asked. But I had to go home. I had a wife and baby son waiting. Lots of happy memories and no regrets. Take care Pete.
