I remember Gerry Burnham well from Fally. One day stood in the entrance to RHQ Block with a Lance Corporal (don't recall his name but he was a clerk in the orderly room), Gerry says "There's some litter just outside the door there Corporal". So the Lcpl picked it up and Gerry bollocked him for not telling me to do it.

All our family miss him so much. He lived with me until he passed away. We have heard some great stories about Uncle and his friend he used to come down every year Norman Preston they always told us the funny tales they never dwelled on the hard times but we are aware how hard it must have been. I will try to upload some pictures once I have figured out how to.

I worked in the orderly room in RHQ block. Whenever the Duty Sgt took over in the morning outside the RSM's office Gerry Burnham could be heard, as he inspected the Duty Sgt of the day, "2 extras". What for Sir? "4 extras". Collar dogs the wrong way round, lanyard not right, he always found something.
