18 members present for the April meeting. We held a minutes silence for Mac McKanny one of our WWII veterans who died on 14th March. His funeral was well attended by the branch and serving RTR soldiers at Bovington were also present. Minutes of the last meeting were carried and it was confirmed that we will have a summer BBQ on 26th July. It is to be held at the home of one of our members, who lives out in the sticks but has lot's of space.The design for the branch Polo shirt was agreed and an order to the supplier will be placed.
Dave Roberts has been put forward as the branch nomination for the Not Forgotten Association garden party at Buckingham Palace in June. Members were given information about the NI Veterans Association service at the National Memorial Arboretum on 20th September.
It was confirmed that the guest speaker for May will be once again from the ABF The Soldiers Charity. In November we had a presentation on a national level, in May it is the local representative who will give a local perspective.
finally details were given to the 1 RTR veterans about the 1RTR tile for the tank museum.
