You've got it in one Texas, don't know what the film was called but it centred on Gordon and as you say the Dagenham Girl Pipers.Quite a lot of the Corps of Drums that we had was also included. This included Brummie Oats,Rip Kirby and a little bloke called Dave Graham. I will try and dig up some more info on this for you. Alf.

Item Title: Soldier Abroad Series. Name: Look At Life Issue No:38 Date Released:1959 Bund No:349662 Summary: The British Army on the Rhine. http:// bufvc.ac.uk/databases/newsreels/index.html This is the information that I got when I tried to get a copy of this film. I was in it. A group of the lads had to march out of "C " block and I was about the 3rd in line. The 1st in line was a tankie named Norris. I did see this film at the army yacht school at Kiel. I was told the CO at the school made the film. I have tried just about every where to get a copy but no good. Geordie.

Harry Bellingham came up with the name Cpl Roy Neal. But Harry say Roy Neal might be from the Alamein Band. He's not sure. Geordie.

Think you are looking for the 'Look at Life' film series. This shows the Corps of Drums (Bums). Think Terry Cording has a copy or can tell you where it is. Good hunting

Yes Brian, What is on the Amazon vid is not the full film. I was given a name of an old tankie ( who I was told has the full film ) when I was down in London for the parade last month. If and when I find him I will let you know. I asked Terry Cording about the film but he couldn't help.Geordie.
